Four Frequently Asked Questions about Our Transportation Services

Many people come to us asking questions about the types of transportation services we offer and the types of services that we provide our passengers.  Those who ask our questions are looking for different things, from transportation of their elderly grandparents to transportation for running errands during a surgery recovery.  At Empire Caring Transit, we offer quality handicap transportation services in Plant City, FL for those that need it.  There are a few frequently asked questions to help you better understand the services we provide for our customers.

Do you provide a taxi service?

Unfortunately, we receive this question from many people.  The answer to this question is no.  We provide a specialized and licensed service to transport those with handicaps, disabilities, and mobility issues to the places they need to go.  Because it is difficult from them to ride in vehicles without proper accommodations, we tailor our transportation to their needs for safe transport.

Do you provide ambulance services?

We are also not an ambulance service, as we are not equipped to respond to all types of medical emergencies.  Although our vehicles have some medical equipment to deal with any of the challenges that we may encounter when moving our handicap passengers, we are not equipped to provide the full range of medical emergency services.  We do not provide these medical services.

Are your drivers hired by your company?

Yes, our drivers work for Empire Caring Transit.  Unlike taxi drivers, who are independent contractors, our drivers are hired in a lengthy and structured hiring process to make sure that have the experience and qualifications that make them right for this line of work.  Our drivers are then trained to understand the needs of our passengers and the equipment on the vehicles they will be driving.

Can you transport a stretcher?

Yes, we have vehicles in our fleet that are able to transport a stretcher.  However, we are not a medical transportation service.  When we transport these passengers, we ensure that they have bedside-to-beside transportation for their comfort.  This means that we can transport those who need to lay flat due to mobility issues, but we do not have vehicles that are fully equipped with the wide range of medical emergency equipment.  We only carry the basics in the event of an emergency with our passengers.

These are a few of the most frequently asked questions to help better acquaint you with the services that we provide our passengers.  As one of the top handicap transportation services in Plant City, FL, we strive to provide safe and reliable services to our clients.  If you are looking for reliable transportation services, contact us to hear about how we can help you get where you need to go today.
